So we had contracted this company to do my sisters stage for her wedding 2 weeks ago and had paid him up front. On the day of installing the stage the guys turn up significantly late and did not even complete the job, The cloth they used had stains which were visible from far, no platform was installed, the correct light color was not been used, no carpet was present, Flower stage border was not as wide as agreed, Chandelier was not straight and the communication was just non existence. After the event had finished we have tried multiple times to contact the manager, who has given us no response at all. Stolen our money and disrupted my sisters special day. At all costs avoid this company.
I would advise everyone avoid this company at all cost! Unfortunately Impressions Events and Amjad over promise and under deliver. Services agreed were not provided and as payment was made upfront, I have been chasing Amjad for a refund he agreed to but over a year has passed and still no sign of this. Initially he denied he was to supply the aforementioned services as part of my package but when shown proof of our conversations in writing he said he will refund the over charged amount. Over a year has flown by and no refund has been received, I have no chance of getting my money back but I can warn others who are looking to book these services for their big day. Putting the over charged amount for services not received aside. The day was a total shambles, the approach to events management was lackluster at best. Setup took much longer than advised, this then pushed the whole day back and guests who had traveled over an out were left standing around for quite some time. The only reason this even got close to being setup was a good friend of mine was present and kept chasing Amjad to get the decor finished. They turned up to set a stage up with one drill, that failed and then my friend had to go collect another drill of one of our friends so the stage could be completed. If you're wondering, yes they stole the drill too. The events management industry has a vast array of firms so please, dont make the same mistakes i did, use someone else!
Absolutely appalling service. Asked for a stage and chairs. Was given two months notice and told to visit the venue and said he didn't need to. Got to the day of the wedding and the chairs were filthy, the stage didn't fit through the staircase. No attempt made at rectifying the situation. Warehouse was 20mins away but refused to go and get another stage set. Not worth the stress on the morning of such an important event. Avoid this company like the plague.
